that was the day i went to mariams house. i kinda thought we were just gonna bum around her place all day, use net and play gh4 or whatever, but you never know what to expect with mariam. didnt even play gh4 for that long. i couldnt really get the feel of the drums lol, but i was okay on the guitar. dint try anything else, cos we rushed off to burwood so mariam could get a haircut.
i met mariams friend anna for the first time, she was nice. thinking about it now, i realise how ridiculously difficult we were being that day. while we were at burwood, mariam and i decided we wanted springrolls with sweet chilli sauce, springrolls with MEAT in them. VEG SPRINGROLLS ARE FOR WIMPS. lol so we walked left and right and up and down and around and about and in and out of westfields, in like 45 degree heat, looking for a place that sold exactly what we wanted.
what we didnt realise was that, being chinese new year, all the asian shops were closed lololo but we remained adamant for at least half an hour that we would eat nothing more, nothing less than meat springrolls with sweet chilli sauce. in the end we settled for food from some random place in the foodcourt of westfields. NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM "MEE!" AT BURWOOD. NEVER. the food there sucked. i know right? what were we even thinking going to a place called "MEE!"
later that afternoon, mariam and i went to karols house. visited the park, let mariam chase ducks, watched tv, laughed at a 14 page long love letter that this girl wrote for some guy she liked, teased karols boyfriend about him shopping, called tony over, ate chicken+chips, and tried to finish a word puzzle we got from a newspaper on the train. to no avail. CAN ANY OF YOU MAKE A WORD OUT OF THE LETTERS "WINDOS" ? omg lol, we thought about it for AGES and got nothing. i hadnt seen mariam for like 2 months at that point though, so we had fun.
yes i realise how long this blog is going to be, but nobodys making you read it (: maybe you could read a paragraph a day, to tide you over til my next entry.
another opportunity i had to make a post was going to my cousins house. why? to use the internet. going to my cousins house to use the internet. instead of doing what i intended to do, i got caught up in a massive phone convo with justine, tien, john, phil, chris, paul and, at one point, steven. i love talking on the phone :D before i knew it i had to go home and hadnt even checked my emails.
my uncle took me and my cousins to this persons house in bonnyrigg to buy *cough* movies. you walk into the place and it is literally OVERRIDDEN with discs. in boxes, in cases, in sleeves, on shelves, in drawers, on the floor, they were EVERYWHERE. and they had almost aaanything you could think of. asian dramas, tv serieses, kids shows, newly released movies, and all for under $5 a disc :D the quality aint so good though, having been filmed in the cinemas and whatnot. but seriously, if the cops went into that place.. lol total pwng.
now to the important things. school started on the 29th of january, instead of on the 2nd of feb like we'd been told. i really didnt see the point of starting on a thursday, but so far, im liking year 11. I GOT TO TELL A JUNIOR THAT HE COULDNT WALK THROUGH THE HALL OF HONOUR. lolololo it was so good. the classes are smaller this year, things are different. you cant really rely on any one person to tell you where to go or what subject you have next cos everything is mixed up. my teachers are proving not to be so bad, especially miss jackson. i had a terrible impression of her cos she confiscated my ipod once, but shes alright. umm mr dillon is okay, as is mr kearney. so far economics is my favourite class, but id like to be in miss phams class. shes cool (Y) hahaha mr gippel broke his collarbone by riding his bike into a car ROFL the car didnt even hit him, he hit the car.

i figure i might subheadingerise the rest of the "notable" events so you guys can skip anything you dont feel the need to read. my days get all mixed up so its quite probable that nothing is in order, but its enough to get the point across.
- LAST SATURDAY ;
the whole chinese new year festival thingo thats usually at warwick. i dont really know why it was moved to fairfield showground, but whatevs. i got driven to tiens house at around 6 last, cos her place is really close to the showground. justine and amanda couldnt come so it was just us two until we got there and met up with mariam, john and andrew do. me and tien got to see zack! hahha lol, we went ballistic and climbed a fence and crossed a field to get to where he was going before him. then we hid behind a wall and once he got there we walked past looking casual and acted surprised when we saw him. "oh hey! we've met you before. arent you konrads friend?" rofl and the conversation went from there.
mariam ran into lannie, connie, gigi, karols and platini so our little group split up for a while, me with john and andrew do, tien and mariam staying with the rest. saw lots of people i knew actually, though not many from school. got a big monkey toy :D a big monkey toy that andrew do and david continually molested D: I REALLY WANTED A DUCK but nobody would win it for me, what phail. we ran into miss phams sisters! i was like to andrew do, "omigod is that miss pham?" and it wasnt her, but they heard us and said hi. miss pham and her little sister look REALLY similar. turns out miss pham was there with two of her kids, but we didnt run into her. it was really hot on the day so im glad we went at night. didnt get home until past 12.
- LAST MONDAY ;
once or twice a week, tien now has to go to cabra library afterschool for maybe two hours before she gets picked up. on the first of these days, i went with her to keep her company and ended up making some friends from chesterhill. tiens so shy, we tried to coax her into joining the conversation but she just sat and read. hello jim, tri and nak :D HAHAHA i was walking around with paul, kevin and tien looking for a place that would sell me flavoured cigarettes (for sarah) and after half an hour of listening to us talk about strawberry and chocolate "cigs", tien asked me "are they like, buns with cream in the middle?" AHAHAHAHAHAHAAH paul laughed the most for sure rofklforlfroflrolflforl. tien you classic hahaa. in the end, i got tri to get the chocolate ones for me cos he looks older.
- LAST TUESDAY ;
went liverpool with sarah, claudia and bonnie so we could get stuff for the swimming carnival. didnt really get much done cos we ended up sitting, eating and talking half the time we were there. did manage to get some chocolates and lollies for valentines day though. i heard that while i was at livo, tien and justine ran into my chesterhill buddies but tried in vain to avoid them. apparently, jim showed tien his underpants. too bad i missed out on that :L wouldve loved to have seen tiens face.
- LAST WEDNESDAY ;
this time lots of people came livo. john, andrew do, sophiea, bonnie, courtney, blosia, mariam, kaushalya, kevin, genvin, jack, mewbs, and other people i dont remember. i figure everyone was rushing around with last minute swimming carnival preparations but the main reason i went was to get my hair cut. blehbellehhebelelehosidfjlhsf! i have a full frontal fringe now, none of that side fringe junk. it felt so strange in the beginning and i almost cried the next morning, but now im really used to it.
blosia got her hair cut too :D we were both very happy with our cuts so i recommend stylz in liverpool westfields to anyone who wants to get their hair cut. the ladies there were really nice and asked us what we wanted every step of the way. i think courtney's gonna get hers done next week. i asked her why she didnt just come and do it at the same time as me and blosia, but she said she needed to "mentally prepare herself" haha.

swimming carnival. i usually love swimming carnival but this year the weather had changed over the weekend and was decidedly miserable and i wasnt bothered going. instead, i went city with mariam :D i started getting really cranky in the morning cos people who said theyd come were dogging me at the last minute, like john and steven. i gave blosia a call and she picked up, sounding half asleep, and told me she was still in bed. so in the end, it was just me and mariam but i cant believe how much fun we had, it was awesome. we went to all the good shops, ate the best korean bbq chicken ever AND took capitols (:
it was the besterestesest. we had lots of "banjoland" moments, which made us laugh. so much in common, mariamllama (L) at one point, mariam walked backwards into some very strange looking guy on a street corner who wouldnt stop looking at her afterwards. hhaah she said he was like a rock because he didnt move and she just kinda bounced off him. roflroflroflol. mariam had to get a birthday present for tony, so i helped her with that. she didnt want to buy him clothes because that made her feel like his mother. she couldnt buy him perfume or a watch cos he wouldnt wear it, not books because he doesnt read, and not music cos he just downloads all of his. we ended up finding him some dvds - south park and family guy stuff. we thought about tickets too, but he doesnt listen to much mainstream stuff. i pointed out how hard it was to shop for him because his only interest was dota :L
lolo we went into that massive 3level supre store and we saw obama singlets! how cool. they had obamas face on them haha. we joked about getting them. like wearing them under our school uniforms then spontaneously jumping up in the middle of class, ripping our blouses open and declaring our love for the new american president. thank god we abandoned that idea :L we had a bit of a giggle when we saw a lady in a business suit waiting to cross the road. strange thing was - she was holding a tray of small cakes and biscuits. we were waiting to cross too so when we got to the other side, we watched the lady as she set down the tray next to where a homeless man had made his bed. that really made us smile.
all in all, a verrry good day. we cut it a bit close, getting back to fairfield just in time for mariams mum to pick her up from "school" but i think all the running for trains was definitely worth it. shame on all those people who chose instead to sit at school, in the rain, watching people swim. you dont know what you were missing out on (:

back to school. i got pretty hyper on friday, eating so much sugar. what can i say? valentines day means lollies and chocolate :D i had a little gift bag full of them that i shared around to "spread the valentines day cheer". next year, amanda and i have decided we are going to come in wings and little dresses, with bows and heart shaped arrows. and flower petals. we'll be cupids (: people were sending to sing-o-grams to other people, although those yr 10's rrrreally neded some practice. they absolutely butchered the song "fall for you", it was terrible. that very song in fact, was the one WE sang to miss pham, telling her it was from andrew do ROFL he was so embarassed. he didnt actually do anything of the sort, but yknow, whatever. miss pham gave me, justine, paul and amanda maltesers for singing to her (: not that paul even sang, he stood to the side and provided "moral support."
as well as sing-o-grams, people were sending and receiving roses all willynilly too so everyone was really into it. i got sent a rose, but i dont know who it was from haha. if you know, tell me rofl. there was a big rush at the end of the day to get all roses and sing-o-grams out but those unorganised year 10's didnt get around to our grade. how lame :( i saw the list and i was supposed to get TWO roses, AND a sing-o-gram but oh wells. and no, i dont know who they were from. i get the feeling justine knows actually, but just wont tell me. shifty girl :L i didnt really feel like going straight home after school that day (i never really do) so i bummed around cabra for a while, and bumped into jim, tri and nak again. so us four, plus david and danica, sat in the library just joking around and stuff. i went home when it looked like it was about to rain, and so ended my week.

i was away on tuesday, but wednesday was pretty good. year tens got around to delivering the rest of the sing-a-grams from valentines day. i got mine :D twooo of em, to be exact. i was sent "it had to be you" by motion city soundtrack but the carolers (or whatever) didnt know it at all so they just sang me "im yours." oh and guess what, i got rickrolled. in person. they came into my maths class saying someone had sent me a verrrry sweet song. and THEN.. "never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down" loooololol. it was quite embarassing.
enough about me, wednesday was also johns birthday. HAPPY SWEET SIXTEENTH JOHN TRAN. you can buy knives now (: we gave him his present in the morning (some pokemon/mario figurine sets) and all gave him hugs. hope you have a good year johnjohn (L)
ok, so. its been like 3 - 4 weeks now? so yeah. kinda this year in general has been better i think. OHMYGOD GUESS WHATTTTTTTT. sophiea made it to hurlstone :D:D:D:D im so proud of herrrrr. when you introduce her as andrew do's little sister, peoples' reactions are always something along the lines of, "what? but youre so pretty." HAHAHAH. but yeah, im really happy shes here. theres lots of new people in our grade too. i havent met them all but theres around 8 new boarder girls, and maybe 10ish new daygos? um theres lyn, courtney, 2 amandas, a john and CHARLES. lyns personality and mine are really similar, we're spastic. anytime i wanna go livo afterschool, i can count on courtney being there and CHARLES IS SUPERUBERCOOL. hes my new best friend (:
and to my OLD best friend, youre still a jerk. you know what you did, and you know why im angry. for you to step into a group of friends, a group of MY friends, and go out of your way to wind me up - thats low. i can ignore your presence, and i can pretend you never existed. what i wouldnt do is waste my time embarassing you in front of your friends and then try to befriend you again. btw, i read your blog. i didnt realise there was an "our" song. not until i read the sing-a-gram list. anyway, yknow what i think? you dont hate me because im mad at you, you hate me because i made you hate yourself. have a good year :D

the year has started off so well for me, but i cant really say the same for the people in victoria. theres so many bushfires and hundreds of people have died, thousands of homes have burnt down. they say on the news it might take weeks to put all the fires out. i suppose i feel bad complaining about the rain this week when the people in victoria are praying for it. i wanted to donate blood cos they also said on the news that the burns victims will need it for months and months to come but i realised there was three things in my way. one, im not old enough yet. two, im not within the weight limit. and three, im absolutely terrified of needles. so yknow, i just donated money.

i dont think i mentioned it, but i started a scrapbook towards the end of the christmas holidays, out of sheer boredom. i got one page done, with memories of last year, but not much else. ill definitely be adding to it though when i find the time.
